| Description | |
These sensors are of a sophisticated design for exact, highly reproducible line tension measurements at papermaking machine covers such as felts and sieves as well as fabrics and weaves. The special engineering design makes it possible to measure not only static and dynamic line tension, but also to analyze the tension curves across the length and breadth of the web.
cross profile of a felt tension
longitudinal profile of a felt tension
Information on the line tension profile is often of great significance. It exerts in many production processes a major influence on the quality and the uniformity of the product, respectively on the life cycle of the covering. Early detection of problems at the machines reduce failure and unproductive downtime to a minimum. The time to change the product is shortened by very quick and defined adjustment of the working tension typical for any particular product. The dry content is increased by setting the optimum tension. |
| Special features | |
• minimum friction of the ball-bearings at the contact rollers • no influence on the measurement by the material or the speed of the line • helical grooving of the rollers stabilize the head even at high speeds • sensor is pressed slightly on the material • optional handling constanter for defined pressing force - independent of the user • maximum sensitivity even when dealing with high frequency signals of line tension • no tendency to resonate even at high speeds • splash-proof / stainless • rugged - effective overload protection • high availability for customer operations • delivers fast, reproducible information about the line tension

InfoZoom | | Handling constanter The "handling constanter" facilitates - also for untrained users - to realise exact measuring results, in a high degree independent of the natural rigidity of the material. The shiftable hand grip of the sensor is pre-stressed to a defined force by means of springs. For measurement the sensor is pressed down against the material until the hand grip moves to a position between the upper and the lower stop. The pressing force - necessary for measurement - is reached now. |
