Acuator LEO-CLS
The LEO-CLS actuator is an electric motor-driven adjustment unit that carries a CLS cantilever measuring roll.
In many processes, the (usually horizontal) position of the measuring roll is important for a uniform web path.
In the case of a cantilever roll, this position changes depending on the design and the respective web tension.
The influence of the web tension on the position of the roll (load-dependent deflection) is continuously and automatically corrected by the LEO unit during operation.
Cantilever measuring roll CLS
CLS is a passive, strain gauge based radial force sensor.
Together with a cantilevered deflection roll with internal bearings, a cantilever measuring roll is created.
The measuring principle is based on the evaluation of the force introduced radially into the sensor.
The power is transmitted via the deflection roll mounted on the sensor, independent of the lever arm.
The compact sensor fulfills two tasks at the same time: • Measuring the web tension • Take-up of the deflection roll

LEO Control Box
The LEO Control Box contains the TS621 measuring amplifier for the CLS sensor and the control electronics for the electromotive adjustment unit.
The adjustment unit can be parameterized via a touch panel.
