| Description | |
Application area is the adjustment and monitoring of the cutting force in cutting stations of rotary cutting dies. The cutting force level as well as its monitoring are important for a precise and reproducible cutting result.
The system Pressure mate consists of two threaded spindles with integrated force sensors AFS and a 2-channel measuring amplifier. Cutting pressure is measured on both ends of the rotary cutting die.
The analog output signal of the measuring amplifier is exactly proportional to the real periodic cutting force. It can be recorded and analized with e.g. data acquisition HCC-Easy. |

The continuous monitoring of the cutting pressure minimizes the mechanical stress on
• rotary cutting dies,
• rotary anvils,
• bearings,
• toothed wheels and
• supporting rollers.
An increasing cutting force due to temperature is detected immediately and can be re-adjusted.
Pressure mate ensures constant high product quality, decreasing downtime and increasing operating life of the die.

As a result of the sensor´s extremely high axial stiffness the cutting process is very stable, precisely and free of vibration.
Compared to hydraulic pressure gauges principally Pressure mate has an ultra-low mechanical elastic compliance. It´s a measurement without motion in order to avoid relative movement between rotary cutting die and rotary anvil. |
